My son is going to be 6... he's a VERY articulate and talkative little boy. He LOVES to talk, to the point where we often have to ask him, politely of course, to be quiet for a bit. Well, I was washing dishes and he was feeding the baby for me (something he takes great pleasure in), and he was kind of looking a little bored. So I told him that babies love to hear the voices of the people they love, and that if he wanted to, he could talk to her ALL DAY LONG and she would happily listen. His eyes went all big and he said "REALLY!?" , and proceeded to begin telling her the story of "Little Red Riding Hood". We are now pretty much through every fairy tale he knows, and he's making up his own now, even though baby is QUITE asleep and has been for a while. It's absolutely precious.
Just thought I'd share
