CHAPTER I

>> Mailing Server/s

That's a small chapter. Two categories of mailing

DIRECT and PROXY

DIRECT mailing is more effective (by far), but expensive and a small percentage prefers it. Webmasters are cheap, mailers are even worse.

You need multiple clean (non blacklisted) IPs. Most of the times an offshore datacenter will handle your requests.

PROXY mailing is prohibited by CAN-SPAM. It's cheaper, less effective, more risky and more time consuming.

TWO PROXY CATEGORIES

Standard ports and Non standard ports

Standard ports

You get the first type by scanning multiple IP blocks and looking always for specific open ports: 81, 1080, 8080, 3126
Translation, you hijack someone's server

Non standard ports

Most of the non standard proxies are trojans (viruses). Infected pcs turned to mail servers.

Mailing through non standard ports is more effective, because it's much harder mail servers to understand you are sending spam. It's slower than mailing through standard ports since the speed is limited by the connection of the infected pcs.

Time is up and Jesus has to leave. Bookmark this page. Tomorrow we'll continue.
