When you step outside the Marriott on Canal street, start walking left(towards Harrah's Casino and the Canal Place mall.)

You'll see a big grey building on the corner across from the Canal Place mall, that's the Customs building. Stay on the side the Customs building is on and walk straight down.

You'll see that the street will make this weird "v" and that's when you'll be close to Coyote Ugly. You'll see Tower Records to your right(which SHOULD be on the opposite side or rather across the street from where you're walking.

And, PLEASE, be careful while you're down too. There are a lot of bad neighborhoods in New Orleans. If you turn down the wrong street or even walk too far down Bourbon(past all the gay bars) you could find yourself in trouble.

Best to stay on the highly populated end of Bourbon street and the tourist friendly areas.

You should be fine walking the way I told you to go to Coyote Ugly.

Have a great time and take lots of pictures for us!
Thank's for the instructions and advice on staying in populated area. I'm not too afraid of crime happening to us, I've seen enough in my lifetime.
