I am amazed that no one here thinks a 16 year old is responsible - at least the guy isnt 45 or something.
Keep the family together - be there when she makes the mistake - tell her you think it is - but stand beside her when she needs you the most - and if the marriage fails - then be with her then too.
You cant stop someone from making a mistake - and threatening is only going to make her more determined. You could stop the marriage but break your family apart.
This isnt uncommon - just north america - hell - even the virgin mary was around that age when she had the baby Jesus.
