25 years ago, the state of affairs in the world was a damn site different. I don't have the exact figures, but I bet 25 years ago the rate of which marriages failed was not 2 out of 3 like it is today.
Statistically, 2 out of 3 marriages fail now. Going in on shakey footing (the whims of a children) can't make the odds any BETTER.
No, 16 or 17 is too young to get married. I'd bash the guy personally.
