The hour or more long patch before you can play (thats on a 3mbps cable connection), the terrible, and extremely long registration and login process (login gets REALLY tedious). The list goes on, I don't know how the Japs have stayed with it over a year.
My friends that still play say it's gotten even worse now that all the Playstation users are on.
If you are looking for a decent MMOG to play then just wait a few days and get City of Heroes.

lucky you..theres never anyone to party on my server and ima level 7 white mage..the monsters are toodamn hard to beat solo,so im stuck getting crystals all day
