Here's my take.

50 Cent used to be a bad live performer. Got winded and didn't flow, just spit words out. Around a year ago, I saw him perform and he was really good. He learned to slow it down and not get out of breath. So I will say this, he's capable of a great performance, I've seen him do it.

From a concert perspective, the sound has the most to do with his performance. When I had Snoop perform, I went all out on his sound. It wasn't by choice, it was his requirements. In order for me to have him perform, it had to be with his exact backline requirements. And that Players Ball was off the chain, he sounded incredible. Plus, he's also a great performer.

With 50 Cent, he might not have the same mandatory backline requirements. If the artist gets paid what they want, they might let a promoter cut costs and get a shittier sound system. Maybe the venue wasn't made for live shows, like an arena.

I'll bet that if and when 50 Cent performs at our Players Ball, he'll sound incredible. Smaller rooms with nice sound systems is the way to do a concert. When it's more intimate, they relax more and have fun with it. When you have 10,000 plus people watching, they over perform and get winded.
