One could say the same thing about alot of asian immigrants, so I think religion is probably not the key here, but more likely a close-knit social group that is available and willing to support even the lower of their class. This can be applied to many other migrating cultures, just happens to be that Jews have one of the oldest migrating cultures hahahahahahahahaed, this has benefitted them as well as, obviously hurt the group on several occasions.
