This isn't an attack on the industry and how you could see it as such I probably will never know but I can guess at it.
My guess is this, you want to make the prostitutes seem like they're not just that because of what the name implies but yet the reality of the situation is just that.

IF you dont like the fact that the business is supported by prostitutes (people who exchange sexual acts for money) maybe it is about time you got out of it.
