My suggestion is to exercise more... sitting at the computer as much as most of us do is what causes weight gain.

Cutting out the worst of the foods will definately help. Drinking lots of water is good. If you eat a lot of carbs, try lowering your carbs and adding more fruits, veggies, and proteins.
