Okies, someone asked, and here it is.

The Balloon Fetish

Balloon fetishists, also known as "loonies", enjoy this particular niche for many reasons. Some of them enjoy the bright colors of the balloons as a sensory experience.

Some of them (poppers) enjoy seeing the balloons popped after being "abused" as sort of a "rape/murder" scenario. These guys are usually closet sadists who look upon the fetish as a way to get out their aggressions without harming a living thing. They may also have issues with balloons stemming from childhood, such as nearly choking on a balloon or being afraid of the popping sound.

Some (non-poppers) enjoy seeing balloons blown up and expanded until they are about to pop, but do not like to see them popped. They may also have a sadistic side, but they long to "rescue" the balloons that they love from the dreaded possibility of destruction. Blowing a balloon up to its maximum capacity is called overinflation.

Some men enjoy watching "balloon riding" in which a woman blows up a large balloon and uses it as a sex toy for her own pleasure. The woman either sits on the balloon and rubs herself against it until she orgasms, or she lies down and rubs it between her legs.

Some men enjoy "balloon stomping" which is actually a combination of balloon fetish and foot fetish. They enjoy seeing these woman stomp on, step on and crush the balloons cruelly before popping them with either high heels or bare feet.

Inflation is another sub-niche of the balloon fetish. Some men find it erotic to watch a woman blow a balloon up with her mouth, almost like a blowjob, although some prefer to see it done with a pump.

Another facet of the balloon fetish is stuffing, in which a woman stuffs her clothing with balloons. Men enjoy seeing the balloons pressed and squeezed against the woman's flesh to the point of almost bursting against her skin.

There is also a small group of people who like to see a woman INSIDE a balloon. Special giant balloons are made that can hold a human inside, and can be inflated. You've seen those gift balloons that are filled with teddy bears and confetti, right? Well these are made similarly but hold people instead of toys. The woman inside the giant balloon often plays with smaller balloons once inside. This is somewhat like the suffocation fetish, and many men who enjoy this particular niche also enjoy suffocation play.

One last specialty is water balloons. A small number of men enjoy seeing women play with water balloons because they feel somewhat like breasts. It's a bit of lesbian erotica in a very personal and private way. A few also enjoy seeing water balloons thrown at women over and over until the woman in completely drenched. A bit like a bukkake. Sometimes the balloons are filled with milk or whipped cream instead of water.

Oddly enough, a pretty big chunk of men are into the balloon fetish because balloons scared them as a child. Conquering their fear of balloons by abusing and/or killing the balloons is one way of dealing with their repressed fear. They are usually poppers.

At the other end of the spectrum there are men who had a very positive association with balloons, for example, they may remember playing with them as a child, or they may remember lots of balloons at birthday parties when they were younger. These guys usually long for childhood, a time when things were simpler and there wasn't the ever-present pressure of adult life. These are usually non-poppers.

Females may also have a balloon fetish, but a majority of balloon fans are male. Females into the balloon fetish are usually fulfilling a partner's fetish, although some women say they like the way the latex of a balloon feels like skin, and some women claim there is nothing like the feeling of a well-lubricated balloon against their nipples or clit.

Another thing to note, many balloon fetishists prefer the larger balloons (over 12") to the smaller balloons, saying smaller balloons are a thing of childhood. Sometimes, the larger the balloon, the bigger the turnon.

A few balloon fetishists claim their turn on lies in the squeak the balloons make when touched, the loud bang they make when popped or the dirty smell of the latex.

So you see, there are a variety of things about balloons that turn people on. It would appear than most balloon fetishes use balloons as a replacement for a human partner for various reasons, perhaps because they feel the actual sex act would be too naughty, dangerous or extreme.

(I hope I didn't make too many typos in there since there is the 1 minute edit rule, now. LOL)
