He's only my half brother... we share the same father. His mom was... uhmm... unstable, and is now gone completely. So basically, his upbringing wasn't the best in the world. Not the worst either, but I hate for him to have to go through it.
So, for a while now, I try to have him come over every week-end, play games, watch movies.... just hang out. I can teach him some things his parents never could and let him have fun doing it at the same time.
in fact, he now says please and thank you.... which is a mighty big accomplishment if you ask me.

i have a 11 year old sister and she is going thru some rough changes too. but now im just trying to let her know im here for her and there are other options ...... last time i was in LA i took her and friends to watch the movie the prince and me she just called me the other day to take her to see mean girls. so it looks ima watch that damn movie!!!! hahaha LOL
