1) Kramski makes some beautiful erotic films. Play his "PornoVision" to anyone who thinks smut can't be art.

2) While I think that every precaution should be taken, and the timing of his statement is a bit irresponsible, I do know a number of Scientists who quietly agree with Kris.

I personally don't agree, but I don't dismiss it as garbage, either.

The problem is that Science is political.
And once we as a nation take a stance on something scientific, it can ruin a scientists career (end of funding) to question it. You can call him an idiot. But if you think that ability to earn billions of dollars off a situation doesn't cloud the truth the public is presented...well, I've got a bridge to sell you in Baghdad.
