In this book they discuss how if you commit adultery, God stated you must be sentenced to death.
In the bible it states that women are unpure when they are on their periods and where not allowed in a church for 2 weeks or until their were clean again. They were unfit to be in a church while they were unpure. Women had to go through a ritual to purify themselves on a monthly basis.
If a women said she was a virgin to her future husband but on their wedding night if it was discovered she was not...she was sentenced to death. Sounds like men keeping women down to me.
You seem intelligent and open minded..and strong on your beliefs. I respect that. But maybe you should read a book like I posted...learn something new or at least get a different point of view. Too many people, in my mind, follow religion without truely knowing EVERYTHING it stands for and do not do enough true research and learning by themselves...they only learn what they are told in church.
