To respond to your post:
the passages you "quoted" are all from the Old Testament which is of less value than the New Testament which is the most important to Christianity.
Jesus has died for our sins... so logically the sins that we're described in the Old Testament all do not apply becoz Jesus has cleansed us from those sins.
Now do not start your "so you can do anything coz He died for you" shit. No we can't! We still have to live by the rules set by our Lord but that does not mean we have to kill anyone that engages in adultery.

I have heard and read the complete opposite. Even discussed this with a guy I know who studied religion in college.
I thought the belief was that the New Testament was written by the Romans to put the fear of God in people to do what they wanted. Isn't the New Testament much more brim and hellstone type shit? Is God really that mean of a guy?
