Well, maybe the best way to get my point across is to get all webmasters to ask themselves this question: If you had (or if you have) a 15, 16 or 17 year old daughter, would you want her posing nude or having sex on the net? Would you? If the answer is no, then why is it okay to use someone else's daughter? If our stupid governments won't pass laws that protect our kids, at least we as individual adults can. One good way is to make sure that all your models are of adult legal age.
And who said anything about the US? I live in Canada, where the age of adult status is 18, and the legal drinking age is also 18, and in a few provinces it's 19. Sorry, there has to be a line somewhere, and for myself and my business I draw that line at 18. Fact is, the youngest model I've ever photographed thus far was 19, a rarity.
Just stop squirming and realize that the word "underage" means just that -- NOT of age of consent. I'm not talking about consent to have sex, that's entirely another matter. With respect to the internet and picture-posting, it means that underage people are not mature enough to make the informed decision to participate in adult content. What part of that is so unclear?
