While true the price per barrel is up some, the price of gasoline ALWAYS goes up when they start diverting oil to the National Oil Reserves. This time, Dubya refuses to slow down how much they are diverting.
Same as, he could force the prices down if he released a few million barrels (won't happen until this guy is OUTTA there).
And in the Spring they have to start making quite a few different blends of fuels to follow EPA guidelines (whish IS a good thing supposedly) But they realllllly need to build more refineries.
I think it was in an article that they haven't built a new one in like 20 yrs. We thought we had one in town, but I guess its nothing more than a gas storage depot. Hundreds of huge tanks of it. We need a really LONG hose... anyone know where they sell 2 mile lengths of it?!

Jer... Brazil - Europe is ALOT diff than the States. How many miles do YOU drive on an average day? How many gallons do you absoLUTEly need to deal with life in a months time. Same applies to Europe. You normally don't have to travel the vast distances thats pretty common in the US.
Our housing is usually not real close to our workplaces and such things like that. Traffic jams cause alot of fuel to get burnt up sitting and waiting. 40-200 miles a day is pretty common to get to work and back each day.
$40 per week for gas, to someone making $200 clear per week is a heckuva hit to absorb.
