but regardless, this sort of thing is a tragedy. young people make mistakes. a young girl goes to LA, she has a good body and a free spirit, for a brief moment she has a fantasy she is some sort of a star, what with all the suitcase pimps fawning over her.
and for many girls who are really somewhat plain but look interesting naked this sudden attention is very seductive, after all every girl dreams of being a "star".
and this young person who probably makes minimum wage in the real world is told she is beautiful and paid several thousand dollars to be an "actress".
and so someone introduces the DP to this young girl, an activity that causes physical trauma and some internal bleeding, an activity that is only second to IV drug use in it's efficacy of transmitting the virus.
and a young person is looking at dying young.
i don't blame the girl for getting herself into this predicament so much---i blame the guys who hustled her and played it fast and loose. if it weren't for the guys this probably would not have happened.
it is the girls who are the fodder in this equation. a straight guy gets hiv usually from shooting dope, but a girl gets it usually from taking it in the ass.
