Hasselhoff in 'Knight Rider' film

David Hasselhoff will produce and will co-star in a big screen version of the 1980's TV show "Knight Rider," the BBC reports.
Hasselhoff, who played Michael Knight in the hit TV series, will take the role of a mentor figure similar to the character that Devon Miles played in the original show.
The movie version will have Michael Knight's son taking over the family business, and in the driver's seat of the talking car KITT.
Hasselhoff is hoping to get William Daniels to reprise his role as the voice of KITT, and Ben Affleck is being targeted to play the lead.
Hasselhoff has expressed concern that the studios want to give the movie a lighter tone than he would like to see.
"I don't want it to be a joke version like 'Starsky and Hutch," Hasselhoff told the BBC
