IMO, Shemp has the right to close whatever account he feels necessary for any reason he wants. I don't think it's up to anyone here to belittle anyone. Shemp's traffic is by far some of the best out there. The volume may not be what some of you may expect, but the quality far surpasses many other TGP's pulling 500,000+ uniques a day. He owns the joint... has anyone ever stopped and thought about that? If he doesn't like the way you comb your hair, he can cancel you - period.

It seems that RioSluts took it upon himself to find out why his traffic was doing poorly from Shemp. He chose to do this in a place that Shemp saw unfit. Shemp's email is available 7-11 style (Always open). He claims to think that he would have received a biased opinion. Now let's think here. $1,500.00 for a 30 day slot in the #1-5 slot. Do you think they convert? Do you think he pulled this figure out from the depths of the darkest corner of his brain and posted it? Do you think that people only click the #1-5 slot and then ditch on Shemp? Nope, they do not. Sure, not everyone is going to make it through the entire list, and they most certainly won't make it through the whole list on a religious holiday, during a weekend when all of the kiddies are off from school and the wife is hounding you to come carve the Ham.

It's not up to anyone here to slam him for HIS OWN BUSINESS decision. He owns it, operates it, feeds it, nurtures it. No one else here does, so who are we to say? True, you can come back at this statement by saying that "Without submitters, there would be no TGP..." To a certain extent, this is true however, in this day and age - TGP owners have a plethora of FREE HOSTED GALLERIES to fill up their slots. Shit, some of the people here are even willing to build galleries for $5-$15 a piece (So don't even bother arguing the individuality of gallery designing).

Shemp surfers trust Shemp. They trust his decisions on what galleries he chooses to list, and with those galleries come sponsors. If Shemp trusts them, his surfers click if they are interested. And to be quite honest, I only want interested parties clicking my shit anyways. Blind linking to a non-existant FREE MOVIE only gets you shitty ratios, not sales.

I think what people need to remember (I made this same mistake in the past) is that numbers only equal out to what comes in at the end of the day. I would rather burn 2 gigs of bandwidth in one day with 4 signups than 100 gigs with freeloader traffic and get jack squat but an extra $50 bandwidth bill.

BTW, this has nothing to do with ass-kissing. This business is ALL ABOUT QUALITY. Stating that you do not need one persons help because you feel you can do it on your own is ridiculous. Those thoughts are the very same thoughts that will rip this industry to shreds which in turn will hurt us all in the end.
