Let's see why. 1) The models want more for it because it's more work. It requires more concentration because, unlike with stills, they are always "on." I pay my models twice as much to do a masturbation video than I pay them to pose for stills. We're not even talking about hardcore. 2) It's more profitable in the long run for the producer to sell the video on his own. This is true with stills, too, of course, but even moreso with video content. You can sell a good video to a company that puts out amateur vids and make pretty good money that way, too.
What you're always up against is that the producer has many roads to profit. You won't get his work unless you appear to be the most profitable one.
