I've had 2 mice for a while, and recently they just had babies. 12 of them to be exact. I'd been warned about mice eating their own babies before, and was told to watch them carefully. I kept a close eye on them for over a week, and they seemed to be doing fine. The babies were actually getting to a decent size, and starting to grow some fur, so I guess I just assumed all the danger was gone...until...
Today I came home after being gone all day for Easter, and couldnt find the babies. I looked all over for them...until I saw one of the mice eating something in the corner. A little fleshy pink chunk of baby mouse. One, or both of the mice, had eaten ALL TWELVE BABIES. In less than 12 hours, they had devoured the entire litter. There is literally nothing left.
Now, is it just me...or is that somewhat disturbing?
