Yeh -- I can't figure out why people get so fascinated by conversion ratios. I can promote a site one way and produce great ratios (tell the surfer everything -- including cost -- before sending him to the sign-up page) or another way a get terrible ratios (focus on the free promotional pics available). But what matters is the number of SALES. I'd rather sell 10 with a conversion ration of 1/1000 than 2 with a conversion ration of 1/100. Quite honestly, I don't even look at conversion ration stats. I look at the size of the checks -- which I always thought was the name of the game
