It would be great to have a relatively CPU-light script that sifts traffic by browser language. Similar in a way to the Hitsorter.com service, but covering all countries and allowing all webmasters to use it (Hitsorter.com only allows a few countries to participate)

The script would allow you to set up N different URLs that people are sent to depending on the language setting in their browser. So e.g. Japanese surfers would go to japan_index.htm, Korean surfers to korean_index.htm, Spanish surfers to spanish_index.htm and all others to the default page index2.htm

I have seen one script like this but it's coded by a Russian programmer and, try as hard as I could, I could not understand the sort-of-English-ish instructions enough to reconfigure it.

I bet you'd get a lot of takers from people seeking to clean up their traffic.

Oh, and you should allow people to create "groups" of countries i.e. send people from e.g. Korea, Japan and China to the same page, and send people from anywhere in Europe to one page, anywhere in South America to one page etc.

Well, you get the idea... bells and whistles can be added later
