It's never been a secret that all the money is in recurring. Just most people want money up front and aren't patient enough for the long haul. All the biggest money making submitters that i know, make it all by recurring.
When they have a bad month of signups, or want to leave for a months vacation, they still get paid on there recurring....so the blow doesn't hurt to bad.
I think that the pay-per-signup is great for anyone who doesn't have a stable income to build there recurring. It give's them a chance to save up some money and get by a few months, while they start building there recurring. It's take around 2-3 months to start reaping the rewards from recurring.
I got a friend and when he started in the business he kept odd jobs to pay the bills until all the recurring kicked in. Now he makes a shit load and still submits every other day.
Some other friends i know do half and half. Half recurring submitting, and have pay-per-signup. That way they get the money up front to help out with the bills, but at the same time, slowly build there recurring. Then after a while, they slowly start submitting more recurring, and weed out the pay-per-signup.
Either way, it's smart to include some recurring in your personal business model.
