They kicked out saddam regime and will let the Iraqi govern themselves in a few months after 18 months of occupation.
The point is that they are almost free to do what they want...
And like I said in the first post, those were civilians contractors who were there not to occupy them but to make their daily lives better!!! What about the 4 Baptits missionaries? Did they deserve to die? They were there building water wells...

You don't know what it's like for those people any more than I do. You sit on the other side of the planet picturing them over there living in some new ray of light paradise that you feel you've given them somehow.
Sorry to tell you, but people love a harsh and ruthless dictator because they're forced to. Even so, they still love him. Just like they love their country. You know... patriotism? You've heard of it right.
Whether you like it, I like it, or even if they like it... it's their country. Or, it was... and now it's not. It's not how it was all the years they've lived and died there.
ok, I get the feeling that since you still can't grasp any of this, that my telling you after all this time just isn't going to make any difference.
All you need to know is that obviously if they're killing people out of rage, they're NOT happy. And no, forcing them to live like you do is not going to make them any happier. At least, not today, and not tomorrow. It could take generations, if at all.
What did the US do that was so terrible. They took away their country. It sucked, but it was theirs. And as a proud "patriot", I'd hope you'd understand that.
Oh, and I like what you said... "almost free to do what they want."
You and Bush must share notes on what freedom really means
