The cost of a chargeback to an issuing bank averages $15 to $25.
Most banks will simply write off the charge from their own pockets if it's for less than their average chargeback costs.
That's a subjective decision however. If the bank sees you've been charged by the company in the past or you have a record of charging back small amounts, they may follow through with the chargeback just to make sure you're not trying to scam a free month or something.
Also, if there are multiple charges from the same company totalling more than their average costs, they'll do the chargeback for all of them.
