I agree that a sponsor certainly has the right to do anything to increase their margins and maintain their payouts. However, I've done testing on hundreds of thousands of hits to cam programs and my conversion ratios on average are 30-40% worse when a prechecked cross sale is on the join page. Add to that the increased chargeback % that comes with prechecked cross sales. They may work when you're doing a $40 sale, but not when the surfer is only expecting a free or $1 verify.
Also, you want to attract high volume webmasters who know they can convert with your program, if program B around the corner doesn't have cross sales on their join page you can bet they will send their traffic there first. I'd prefer a $20 payout with no cross sales and convert at 1:60 vs a $25 payout converting at 1:150. Wegcash did extensive testing of cross sales the first month of their free join cam program. Their CEO came on their board and said that cross sales were of no benefit to them and they were removing them permanently from their cam join pages. Just some food for thought.
