First, let me say welcome to GFY - I see they have baptized you
KRL pretty much summed it up by advising that here, they attack first and ask questions later.
Let me tell you a little about what the problem was -
Women generally hear about this forum from other sources and see it as a good opportunity to make a grand entrance - true in most cases, not here. The first thing you must do when entering GFY for the first time is - get a nick, but read for about 1-3 weeks until you have a feel of these 'colorful' characters. See how they treat the 'newbies' when they come in with a 'splash' - your tactic has to be opposite to that. Come in quietly and post when you feel comfortable - and never, ever ask for something you haven't worked your ass for.
BTW, as for your camera - start a quality thread which will get good responses & be the thread of the day, and you'll get a nice camera from GFY (in about 2-3 weeks).
