I got ya hook up, I'm sort of a chef alal SUe if you get my drift,
1st the only real way to do grits is (other then water and grits,... and if you don't know the correct ratio for this then you must be a starving bystard, and your rice sux) BUTTER (lots) salt pepper, pinch of sugar.... its the southern way
2nd if ya got no grits, take either corn tortilla (as mentioned above) or corn on cob, boil it till its mush, nead it, cut it up, mash it, then boil slightly to your texture and then season
I fucking hate grits, but I can make them like great granny HNIC
