If the army did not change people, they would have to be VERY FUCKED UP before they enlisted. Who do you know not in the army who fills in the main requirements?

Yeah and think about it. He's still scared to take drugs. He drinks instead of using pain medication perscribed by his physician. The service may very well conditioned him into thinking it's better to drink yourself into a stupor than take a mild pain med.
