Okay, let me say before I drop this URL on you that I'm no fan of Dan Quayle, and that this article from The Atlantic magazine really has nothing to do with Dan Quayle directly, except for the provocative title. It's a well-researched article which I'm sure you won't read, but it's worth a try:

If you did read it, which, as I said, you won't (because people in general rarely read anyting might mean, if true, they'd have to change their mind), you would find out that it's not bullshit. Kids from single parent families do measurably worse in life in just about every way that can be measured.
