Its really simple to tell when to use "I" as opposed to when to use "me". Simply remove Steph from the sentence and see what makes sense.

Right:
Steph and I went to the store.
I went to the store.

Wrong:
Steph and me went to the store.
Me went to the store.

Right:
John gave the ball to Steph and me.
John gave the ball to me.

Wrong:
John gave the ball to Steph and I.
John gave the ball to I.

--

And finally in the context of the picture...

Right:
Steph and me
Me

Wrong:
Steph and I
I
Thats what I said. Well I didn't go into such detail but I meant the same thing!
