How do parents control it? Easy, say "no". None of my kids have tatoo's and they know better than to even ask. My daughter had to really really talk me into getting a piercing in her ear (that little round thing (flap sort of) right next to your face. I detest it, told her I regret giving her permission and that she better not think about asking for another one LOL. I should add, that both my daughters are above legal age and they can legally do what they want, but we have a rule here....my house, my rules..you want to live here, you follow the rules.
