I'm surprised in the post above the guy in Germany claims up to 15% of Germany still has Nazi beliefs. That's quite a large number of people if that claim is indeed true.

Anyone else here live in Germany? Are the feelings still there to this extent?
i live in the extreme east of germany, near to the polish/czech border - and i just have to step out of the door to see it every day on the streets.

if you travel to cities like munich, hamburg or berlin it would not be that much.

but for example: 2 years ago in hamburg, which is normally a very liberal city, nearly 20% voted for a party which had some very nationalistic thoughts.

but it is no german specialty - also france, italy or denmark have up to 20% votes for parties like that
