So, why not kick out the middle man and take more of the profit for yourself? Design a special 404 page where you have certain sponsors, whether it be for a pay per click, get more women, a bigger dick, etc. Make it one big advertising page, low in bandwidth, so you can make a killing of this traffic instead of giving it away for a fraction of its value.

We can make a profit because we have a special deal going with the companies we send the traffic to. You will usually not make more by "cutting out the middle man".
Of course traffic quality varies so it can depend sometimes.
