I don't know that they all shave, but I bet they all follow up old customers with a better deal. I've signed up for some of the partnership programs that I'm going to work with, just to see how well the site is inside, And everytime I quit I get a nice little email 3 to 5 days afterwords asking me to rejoin at a deep discount say 30% or 50% basically what they are paying us. So the customer may stay only 1 month at $24.95, but he might stay 4 or 5 months at $12.00.
