I have 9 computers off a 3com 100Mb Switch, There is an ADSL line 6Mb down / 384K up going into a linux router. I also have a 1.5Mb up / down cable connection that goes into that same linux router, and finally I have a backup 56K modem in that router so if dsl and cable die I can still get online

The linux box is an old P233 that I had laying around, stuck a 4 port ethernet card into for 3 inputs 1 output. The router takes care if either the dsl or cable die off so I never notice. It also gives me great download and upload preformance.
