Interesting responses thus far.
Maybe not with the full intend to kill but...
If I felt my life, or physical safety, were threatened
If any member of my family were threatened
If any friend of mine were threatened
If any innocent person were being threatened
If I were in a combat zone
I WOULD use deadly force against anyone in those situations. If they died most likely I'd mourn their death and the loss their family would experience.
But shit happens when stupid shit goes down, so I don't believe that I'd feel guilty about it. Who knows though until you actually are in the situation whether or not you'd feel bad. I spent 6yrs in the USMC and I'd have squeezed the trigger all day long to protect my troops. I suspect that I'd have spent a good 15 minutes vomitting after the first firefight had I actually had to experience that horrid reality. Then I'd pick myself up and keep truckin.
Human life is precious as long as said human respects the lives of other humans. When that simple concept breaks down then all bets are off and weird shit is gonna happen. I'd never kill just for the sake of killing, but others would and those people I'm going to take down should I encounter them. Or, they are going to take me down...
