Okay, I've put this off long enough, time to get to work here.
tit -- Ya, polls can be really useful. The best I can do is try to at least scratch the surface of what surfers are thinking these days. I think I've got some key questions in there to do that, so I'll just have to wait and see how it goes over the next few months. As for the CC thing, well, I get the rfeeling that the very newbies we are hoping to draw as surfers are not only very inexperienced with the internet, but I think that many still have an out-dated fear that their personal information or their CC itself will be compromised in some way. It's hard to explain just how secure 128-bit key encryption is to 100 million newbies that probably all want to join a paysite but are just lacking in confidence in the system.
Deluxe -- I'm not concerned about those few that say they don't like my tgp. I know that my design is as unique as I am, and I know that I run a pretty tight ship there. Those surfers were handed over 70 new galleries on the day they visited, and over 1000 archived galleries too, and a lot more. ALL of those galleries were checked and re-checked by me personally to make sure that there were no 'dirty tricks' waiting for them. Oh those poor poor ungrateful ripped off surfers. Ya, I'm really broken up about the 30 or 40% that said that. (so far) Boo-fucking-hoo (that one's for you 12clicks, your fav saying)
Redshoe -- Good observations. Yes, the tastes are varied for sure, but that might be explained by the different types of traffic I have coming to that site... some SE, a good % of tgp traffic, but also a large % of hits from my babe/bikini 'cj-2' type sites, which has some pretty good quality traffic. So I'm sure that's why opinions are so diverse there. Also, as you pointed out, a large % of them say they will never buy anything online, yet a whopping 88% of them say that they value their freedom to view online porn. I think that we need to get it through to them somehow that if they want to continue to view online porn they need to show some support by actually joining the odd paysite from time to time.
Wizdom -- These polls were only recently added to the main page, but I disagree with you on the point that they aren't relevant. Sorry, you're wrong. Take 100 surfers from ANY adult site and run them through a poll and that will be a microcosm of the entire industry that we can look for clues and trends. Even if you were to poll 100,000 surfers, the polls on any adult site would look slightly different, but I'm not shooting for any hard-targetted accuracy here. If I was, the poll would have to be huge. I'm just trying to get a better sense of what is going through the heads of some of my surfers (and yours... we are all sending these surfers to one another, right?) so I've tried to ask some key questions to feel them out a bit. Have a few wobbly pops bro, things will look clearer then I'm sure.
