Hey Mikey,
Well it was my first time building them. Before that I was submitting to places that didn't need recips, and that wasn't going so well, so I thought I'd do some recips.
So then I went searching for TGP's that required recips, then I had to save all their banners, and build a generic 4 column table, the first thre cells had the recip link and banner. The last cell has a link back to my ebony free site.
After building one, I would then insert it into a template of that gallery. Then I would create a directory called 'gallery01' and save my new recip gallery as index.html
The reason for that was that some of the rules didn't allow doorway pages. Fucked up I know, but the majority of the rules that I read dictated that I should create index pages for each gallery.
So then I created the next set of recips, created the new directory "Gallery02", saved the document as index.html, and repeated this process 81 more times...
(81 recips x 3 recips per page = 27 recip pages)
After the 27 galleries were made, I went to PayCounter, and created counters for each of the 27 galleries.
After adding the counters. I created a submission page, alot like waycoolsubmit, except I only included only the tgp's that I have a recip to, and I broke each tgp into categories according to which gallery they were in.
Example:
Gallery01
tgp01
tgp02
tgp03
Gallery02
tgp04
tgp05
tgp06
and so on...
The only thing different about my site is I added a cool email feature so at the end of my submission session, I could click a button and have a report emailed to me, that shows which tgp's I submitted a galleries to, and what time they were submitted. This will help me track how long it took for them to post, and how much traffic I received from each.
RECAP:
So I harvested 81 recips, built a template gallery, created 27 tables with links, and recips to each of the 81 tgp's, created 27 galleries, and saved each new gallery as it's own index page. Created a submission page just like waycoolsubmit which can send an email with which shows what was submitted.
Why is that so incredible?
All I had to do was do it once.
Now when I create a gallery, I make a new directory on my server, and upload the 27 recip directories into that directory. Since all the images point to the main directory, all I need to do is upload 10 pics and thumbs. And just like that I have a gallery that can be submitted to 81 tgp's and have a better chance of being listed since now they have recips.
Now it only takes just a few minutes per new gallery.
How long did it take you your first time?
I'm still tweaking how many tgp's I submit to. I think I'm closer to having a base of about 20 or 30 tgp's. Out of the 81 tgps under half actually posted the gallery. Either it's still under review, or they just didn't like it, whatever the reason, I removed them from my "submit to" list.
