Nah the heli base was just outside duvno, it was makeshift base! When we were in Gornji Vakuf, we were based at the tools factory just over the bridge and over the hill, on the same road going to Vitez!! Basically there was nothing there at that time!! I was living in a metal container - had to run 100 metres just to take a piss lol!!!
I was there for 8 months!! But before we left civil engineers started to arrive and the base was building up, I think they completed the heli pads just after we left!!
The lynx's used to land on the friggin road to drop of mail lol!!
What a place!! I'll say something though, there's nothing worse than waking up in the morning with a hard-on, turning over and crunching your dick with your weapon lol!!! I used to shit myself incase I shot myself, we had to have our weapons with us at all times no matter where we were or what we were doing!!
