the question was should the government be arresting people who publish and distribute obscene materials on the Internet.

well du-uhhhhh, there have always been obscenity laws and people have always been in favor of them being enforced, before the Internet and presently.

get it through your heads once and for all OBSCENITY does NOT mean PORNOGRAPHY - the religious right likes to do anything it can to make it mean just that but go read the Supreme Court decisions. There are no laws against pornography.
