I don't lock my car around town, but if I go into Atlanta I have a keypad I use. Unless I'm carrying my pocketbook, I always leave the keys in the car and use the keypad to lock and unlock it. When it's parked at home it's unlocked and the keys, my wallet and my gun are all in it, lol!
BTW, most remotes have a programming option to keep the horn from blowing if you want to change it.
And before you get excited about the insurance company paying off a stolen car, call them and ask them how much they'd pay for your car if it was stolen. It's usually not a pretty amount.
