You are the hosting expert, so tell me if this is a possibility? Either what the Hun said . . . or they are getting ready to try selling advertising on that site? They'll be able to show potential advertisers some stats that are going to show an awful lot of impressions.
As far as it being a big expense - actually it's probably not costing them anything right now? I mean, if they are as big as some people have claimed they are, perhaps they just have a lot of bandwidth to spare. I mean, if I buy a 5 mb/sec line and pay for it monthly, but only use 2, then I still have to pay for that extra 3 even though it wasn't used. So say I opened up a new site, or let a friend use my bandwidth and he used up that left over 3. It didn't *COST* me anything
