Just to address your comment April - yes, they have in the past been allies, but only because of communism.. However, in the past, China has invaded the hell out of Russia.. Check your history.
And you tell me if you were Russia, would you not be afraid of China? A country almost bursting at the seams with people, they have the biggest military in the world, a failing economy, and this big empty (to them) land to the north that they could easily take if it weren't for the fact that Russia has nukes...
