Even though I hate recips. I've turned to them to help get me on my feet. Here is how I do it:
First I created a directory called "r" which represented "reciprical" on my hard drive.
Into that I created a directory for the images, and called "gallery01". Into that I added 10 images, thumbs, and some sponsor banners (rename the images 01 - 10, and the thumbs 01a - 10a., the banner to banner01, banner02...)
I created another directory called "recips" and put all the recip thumbs into it.
Then I created 24 recip directories, (call them "01" - "24"), and made a single "index" file into each.
That index files are all identical in all the directories except for the recip links.
Basically, I created a template index page, and a 4 or 5 recip table. The first 2 or 3 recips are to tgps, then one back to a free site that I run, and 1 to a sponsor tgp. (It's a tgp that the sponsor runs, - Pay per sign up
)
(up until now everything else has been quick and easy, this next part was what took the longest)
Then I opened a plain notepad page, and created the recip tables. I copied and pasted those into the index pages, and left a copy of that table in plain text in each of the proper directories.
When creating your index page be sure to point all your images to " ../images/PIC.jpg", and your banners to "../images/banner.." you get the idea. Same with the recips.
Now all you have to do is go to your server and create a new directory and upload "gallery01" (INTO A NEW DIR called "images"), "recips", and all 24 recip directories into that new directory. Don't forget to create a single, no-recip gallery that points to the image directory, and leave it in the new directory, for the tgps that don't request a recip.
Whew, that was a mouthful
The beauty of doing that, is that you only need to do it once.
This whole process took 1 long night to do.
To create new galleries, all you do is make a new file call it "gallery02" add 10 new images, thumbs, and banners. Now go back to the server, and create a new directory, and upload the images, recips, and 24 individual directories.
The first time you make it it's a pain in the ass, but like I said, you only have to make it once. Everytime after that it's the same as making one gallery.
