It's only illegal if it's hosted in Oz, otherwise it's fine. Basically all ISPs here have to make sure there are no sites on their servers.
I agree, though, that the first post definitely implied that those hosts were cheaters/thieves. Even if he later stated it's for "excessive advertising". I thought "excessive advertising" was one thing that made surfers join a paysite anyway...?
