I seriously doubt the claim that there were 'a billion' documents. That's an absurd number that they are throwing around to minimise their responsibility.
The point isn't that the documents were or are excalpultory, the point is that among them there are eye witness accounts, etc that could have changed the outcome of the trial perhaps not in his guilt, but in his punishment.
The fact is, do we care about the rule of law or not? If we do it's a mistrial and he gets a new one.
If we don't care about the rule of law what the fuck is the point of our legal system?
