There is one important little side note to this situation: now I'm not defending the things that McVeigh did in any way shape or form.

But the question has to be asked: since the government cheated in the prosecution of McVeigh, that in a case this high profile, a case that was a slam dunk, they STILL had to cheat by hiding evidence from the defense, can he still be put to death without a fair trial??

What does this mean for the rule of law, isn't the sanctity of the legal sytem that our country is founded upon greater than any one trial?

Shouldn't he be given a new trial? Or does the FBI get to choose who is guilty and who isn't? Because they were right this one time?
